Pharmacovigilance
Pharmacovigilance arises in the 60s in Europe, based on the adverse effects caused by Talidomide, a fact that marked a before and after in the safety of medicines. Since then, governments from different countries implemented stricter controls for approval, marketing, prescription and monitoring of treatments.
In Argentina, the National Pharmacovigilance System was created in September 1993. Since then, it constitutes a key tool for the safety of patients, since it allows the early detection of adverse and/or unexpected effects in the extended use of medicines, as well as the identification of possible failures in the therapeutic response linked to quality.
In our laboratory, pharmacovigilance is a central commitment: we actively work to monitor the safety of our products and ensure that treatments reach patients with maximum scientific confidence and support.
